\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Poker is a card game in which players bet on the strength of their hands. The game can be played between two players or with many people at a table, like in Las Vegas tournaments. It requires a lot of strategy and knowledge to win. A well-written article about Poker will explain the rules of the game, describe how to play and how to read your opponents. It should also include tips for beginners and more advanced players.<\/p>\n

The game begins with one or more forced bets, usually an ante and\/or blind bet. The dealer then shuffles the cards and deals them to each player, beginning with the person to their right. Then the first of several betting rounds takes place, with the players\u2019 bets going into the central pot.<\/p>\n

A winning hand is determined by the highest combination of cards in a given situation. A pair consists of two distinct pairs of cards, a flush is five consecutive cards of the same suit, and a straight is five cards in a sequence that skip around rank but are from more than one suit. The highest high card breaks ties.<\/p>\n

To act during a hand, players say “call” to match the amount of the last bet (if any) and put chips or cash into the pot. Players can also raise their own bet to increase the stakes by a set amount. They can fold if they do not have a good hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
