\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Depending on your choice of game, you may be required to put in a few chips before the cards are dealt. These chips are usually ceramic or plastic and can be exchanged for cash.<\/p>\n

The “pot” is the aggregate of all bets made by all players in one deal. It is possible to win the pot by making a bet that no one else calls.<\/p>\n

The “showdown” is the final round of betting before the cards are drawn. During this round, each player turns their cards face up. The winner is the poker hand with the best five cards.<\/p>\n

The best possible hand is a trip of a kind. This is achieved by holding four cards of the same suit. A straight is also possible.<\/p>\n

The most important poker hand is your best hand. You may choose to bet with your best hand, fold or bluff. A bluff is when you pretend to have a better hand than you actually have. It can also be achieved by calling a bet that matches the previous bettor’s bet.<\/p>\n

A “backdoor flush” is achieved by hitting the right cards on the turn and river. A “high straight” is achieved by holding a hand of five cards of the same suit. A “low straight” is achieved by holding a hand with two cards of the same suit. The joker counts as a fifth ace.<\/p>\n

The “big wig” is the player who is responsible for making the first bet. This player is also responsible for shuffled cards and for laying down a small blind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
